This free reinterpretation of Little Red Riding Hood is rooted in the classic European folk tale, passed down orally across various regions of Europe since the 10th century. I was particularly inspired by the first printed version, published in the 17th century by the French writer Charles Perrault — a darker, less forgiving version than the one we grew up with.
This series was exhibited as part of Russafart (Valencia, Spain), a biennial open studios event that brings together local artists and the wider public, over one weekend.
